Who We Are
NEHA is a nationally led humanitarian organization headquartered in Las Anod, Northeastern State, Somalia, established to reduce the impact of landmines, UXO, ERW and other explosive hazards. Working closely with government institutions, humanitarian partners, donors and communities, NEHA combines international standards with local knowledge to deliver accountable and sustainable humanitarian services.
The organization operates in accordance with the principles of humanity, neutrality, impartiality and operational independence, aligning its technical activities with the International Mine Action Standards (IMAS), humanitarian principles and internationally accepted best practices.
North East Hazard Action (NEHA) is an independent, non-governmental, non-profit humanitarian organization established to protect communities affected by explosive hazards and support sustainable recovery across Somalia, specializing in Humanitarian Mine Action (HMA).
